Overview of Feature Configurations

A Feature Configuration is a set of PowerSuite user-defined settings for devices and their respective values that are applied to the devices within selected scopes. PowerSuite’s Device Management Feature Configurations enable you to control the behavior of your organization’s devices, by provisioning the device with the settings and their values.

Example

A Feature Configuration with Poly as the vendor, and the setting lcl.ml.lang with French_France as the value, is created. This Feature Configuration is then applied to the scope Poly VVX201. The next time the device contacts the PowerSuite Agent Provisioning Service, each Poly model VVX201 within your organization will have the UI language set to French.

When a Feature Configuration is selected in the Using the Manage Features Page, a details pane is displayed on the right-hand side of the page with the following tabs:

-     Information tab, which provides details of the Feature Configuration.

-     Settings tab, which provides details on the settings set for the Feature Configuration. At least one device setting must be assigned to the Feature Configuration.

-     Applied to Scope tab, which provides details of the scopes to which the Feature Configurations are applied.

The Manage Features page enables you to view, create, modify and delete Feature Configurations.
