While a user is in a Tombstoned State, the Sweeper Rules are applied. The Duration of the Tombstoned Period is configurable.
Users located in the Tombstoned State, if found in a subsequent synchronization will be moved back to Alive automatically by Provisioning Solutions. The user is deleted automatically from Provisioning Solutions’ local cache, but is not deleted from Active Directory after the configured Tombstoned time has expired.
