Provisioning Solutions uses an abstraction called Communication Endpoint (CE) to describe the type of consumer a Phone Number is allocated to. A Communication Endpoint (CE) is a consumer of a Phone Number. The Communication Endpoint is uniquely identified by its Communication Endpoint Type and Communication Endpoint ID Type, the short name Endpoint is often used. A Communication Endpoint will usually only have one DID assigned to it. Employees and locations can be associated with multiple Communication Endpoints
