Sustained Incidents

A sustained incident is a repeating failure. Sustained incidents are always classed as Active High Priority Incidents. Active sustained incidents will display in the Active High Priority Incidents section of the dashboard. Once a scenario has run successfully and the incident is therefore inactive, these inactive incidents will continue to be listed in the Other Recent Incidents section of the dashboard, but will no longer be displayed in Active High Priority Incidents chart.  Once resolved these incidents will not appear in the dashboard, if after 30 days from the resolution, the same incident does not occur again the incident will be automatically closed. If the same failure occurs within the 30 days the incident will redisplay in the dashboard.

Any sustained reoccurring incident should be investigated, with an assessment made to find the root cause for the incident.
