Using Device Logs

PowerSuite’s Device Logs feature acts as a collector and store of logs that are generated, and sent to PowerSuite Device Management by your organization’s managed devices. The log information that is collected, stored, and then displayed in the downloaded log file is dependent on information collected by the individual vendor’s device.

NOTE:

For details on the information that is collected, please refer to the individual vendor’s documentation. To change the information collected and provided in the downloaded log file, navigate to PowerSuite’s Device Management Feature Configuration to change the settings.

Devices will send logs in regular intervals to the PowerSuite Device Management Solution, enabling you to access the log information provided by the vendor, using the Device Details Page.

The information collected is set by the vendor. If you wish to change the information collected and provided in the log file, refer to the vendors documentation for the available log settings. You can use PowerSuite’s Device Management Feature Configurations to change the information collected and provided in the downloaded log file.

NOTE:

Poly devices upload a core dump file when crashing. These core dump files are available from the Device logs enabling you to share these files with Poly’s Support Team to help in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
