Standard Rules Application of Telephony Mode

 

When multiple Rules apply specifying different telephony modes, the highest mode is configured. The hierarchy for telephony modes is:

 

1.  IM and Presence

 

2.  PC to PC

 

3.  Outbound Calls

 

4.  Enterprise Voice

 

 

NOTE:

The higher telephony modes do include lower ones. For example, if the user is enabled for Outbound Calls, the user will have all the functionalities of IM and Presence and PC to PC also.

 

 

Example:

 

For an account there are two applicable Standard Rules:

 

-     Enable Enterprise Voice

 

-     Enable PC-to-PC

 

As a result, the account will be configured for Enterprise Voice.
