Provisioning Solutions’ Rule Engine, along with any parameters (example: threshold), may be scheduled using a standard schedule entry in the Microsoft Windows Task Scheduler. The execution time of a Provisioning Solutions cycle will vary based on:
- Number of users changed
- Number of users found
- Available system resources (CPU)
- Active Directory performance
- Network performance
It is recommended to run Provisioning Solutions several times per day, with sufficient time between cycles. This will allow Active Directory attribute replication and avoid overlapping processing cycles. Depending on the actual execution time, Provisioning Solutions can be executed at least 6 times per day (every 4 hours). This will ensure timely processing of required changes to Lync or Skype for Business accounts.
