Rules Explained

A Rule is a set of Actions used in Provisioning Solutions. The Rules Engine applies the Actions to a set of users defined within the scope of the Rule.

Provisioning Solutions provides a configurable set of Rules and Conditions that are enforced by Provisioning Solutions. These Rules are uploaded and stored centrally. Rules in Provisioning Solutions are evaluated from the top down.

NOTE:

Rules may overlap, they do not have to be mutually exclusive.

Provisioning Solutions provides the ability to assign privileges or policies based on user attributes stored in Active Directory. The user attributes include:

-     MemberOf (membership to a security group)

-     Any other attribute (with standard data types) that is to be used for a provisioning decision.
