The Deactivate Lync Action deactivates a Skype for Business or Lync account without removing any settings assigned to the user. Deactivating freezes the account for Lync or Skype for Business until it is re-activated again. The Deactivate Lync Action may be used for example, when an employee takes a leave of absence for an extended period of time.
A Lync or Skype for Business user will be unable to sign into Lync or Skype for Business. Clients that are already signed in will be logged out, however, existing calls will continue until ended.
Deactivate Lync deactivates Lync or Skype for Business for the user, by setting the msRTCSIP-UserEnabled AD attribute to FALSE.
