Phone Number Allocations Properties

A Phone Number Allocation describes the use of a single Phone Number. The Phone Number Allocation is defined by:

-     Phone Number

-     Communication Endpoint Type

-     Communication Endpoint ID

-     Phone Number State

o  Assigned (in use)

o  Reserved (planned use)

o  Tombstoned (no longer used)

-     Allocation Expiration occurs for Reserved and Tombstoned Allocations only

-     Multiple Allocations may exist per Phone Number

o  One Allocation only per Communication Endpoint Type per Phone Number is allowed. Example: Only one Lync User can use a specific Phone Number at a time

o  Different Endpoint Types may share a Phone Number. Example: When a Lync User also has a PBX Phone that rings the same Phone Number
