Additional Information

Domain Account

A Domain account is necessary for PowerSuite, the account required is referred to as PSProxyAccount.

-        PSProxyAccount requires read only (DB_DataReader) access to the following databases:

o    LcsCDR

o    QoEMetrics

-        PSProxyAccount requires read only Lync or Skype for Business Administrative permissions to be a member of RTCUniversalReadOnlyAdmins security group. This will permit retrieval of Lync user information (example: Enabled for Enterprise Voice). PowerSuite uses Skype for Business Server Management Shell to execute Get-CSUser cmdlet to retrieve the information.

-        PVProxy Account requires access to the Active Directory.

Remote Access Accounts

Two Remote Access enabled Lync or Skype for Business accounts enabled for Lync Remote Access are required:

-        Survey Lync or Skype for Business bot account. Used for user satisfaction and user survey components of solution to gather intelligence on user availability. The bot is also the source account of the conversation for these surveys.

-        Lync or Skype for Business account for notifications.

The Lync or Skype for Business User Accounts must be enabled for relevant PowerSuite Monitoring scenarios.

Source and Target User Accounts

Different PowerSuite Monitoring Scenarios require different Target, User or Attendee accounts for each PowerSuite Monitoring scenario, and whether the relevant end user needs to be enabled for Unified Communications (UC):

NOTE:

For the Dial-In Conference Scenario and the Audio Conference Scenario the Source User is referred to as the Organizer and the Target User is referred to as the Attendee.

Important:

A unique end user account must exist for both the Source User or Organizer and the Target User or Attendee. Therefore, a user account must exist in Active Directory, which has a:

-        Domain Account

-        Password

-        SIP URI enabled

-        Associated phone number, for Lync or Skype for Business where the account is enabled for UC

For Inbound PSTN Scenario Rules, a Target User is required that will receive the inbound call. This Target User needs to be allocated a PSTN number which is unique and is aligned with the relevant gateway to be validated. If the Inbound PSTN needs to be used to validate multiple sets of gateways, then a unique Target User will need to be created for each set of gateways. This will ensure the relevant inbound routing is applied.

For Outbound PSTN Scenario Rules, a Target User is not required to be specified.  A Target PSTN number however is required, that is routed to the appropriate set of gateways. An organization’s outbound routing rules will define which PSTN numbers are appropriate to each set of gateways.

Important:

The Target PSTN number must be:

-        Routable via Outbound routing

-        One that the organization knows is available

-        Able to answer the call

-        Able to provide audio for one minute per call (for example a conference bridge)

NOTE:

If the enterprise is not aware of Target PSTN numbers that are available for calling, please contact Unify square for a list of numbers.

For Dial-In Conference Scenario rules, an Attendee is required in order to replicate a user dialing into a meeting. This ensures that the scenario replicates an end user calling the target dial-in number from the PSTN. A second Attendee is required as part of Dial-In Conference scenarios.

The table below outlines whether a Source User or Organizer account and a Target User or Attendee account are required for each PowerSuite Monitoring scenario, and whether the relevant end user needs are to be enabled for Unified Communications (UC):

PowerSuite Enterprise Pro/Premium Additional Requirements

Service Account

PowerSuite Enterprise Pro and Premium Solutions additionally require a Service Account. The Service Account requires read/write permissions to the desired Active Directory objects and attributes.  It is necessary that the Service Account is a member of the RTCUniversalServerAdmin group to manage Lync or Skype for Business users’ configuration, and retrieve data from the Lync or Skype for Business Central Management Store (CMS). Prior to the installation of PowerSuite Enterprise Pro or Premium Provisioning, a domain account referred to as Provisioning Service Account is required to be created.
