The import bulk action creates a batch job that runs in the background of PowerSuite. The job runs through each line of the imported CSV file, and if the data is correct and the phone number exists in the system with status of available. PowerSuite creates an allocation with the provided data for the Phone Number.
To assign Phone Numbers:
1. Select Bulk Actions tab in left hand pane.
2. Select Phone Numbers subtab.
3. Select Assign Phone Numbers.
NOTE
The file must be in CSV format and contain the following fields:
- PhoneNumber
- AllocatedTo
- DisplayName
- EndpointType
- Vendor
- Comment
4. Select Download Template File to download the CSV template.
5. Select Choose File.
6. Select the file.
7. Select Validate File.
In the File Validation page:
Once the file has been imported, PowerSuite performs a pre check to ensure that the CSV file is not empty and is actually a CSV file. PowerSuite then validates the file and provides the following details of the imported file:
- The number of rows imported and how many were successfully imported.
- The number of phone numbers that will be assigned.
- The number of rows that did pass the precheck.
- Details on the invalid rows of the CSV file.
8. Select Import Rows.
The Creating Bulk Action page confirms that the bulk action has been scheduled.
9. Select the Bulk action link or go to the Bulk Action History page to monitor the progress of the scheduled bulk action.
