Why can I see sites in a dashboard but cannot configure the geography hierarchy?

If sites are displayed in a dashboard, but you are unable to configure the geography hierarchy for those sites, it is important to check to ensure that the PowerSuite sites are configured.

To configure PowerSuite sites:

1.  Export the Skype for Business sites into a file.

2.  Import the file as PowerSuite sites

3.  Once the import is complete define the Geo hierarchy

PowerSuite only provides information on sites that are configured in PowerSuite, these sites are known as PowerSuite sites. Any sites imported from Skype For Business are known as Skype for Business sites and may change at any time. As the source of the Skype for Business site change is external, it PowerSuite would be unable to alert you or another user of the impact of the change.

Example:

If Jane Williams is assigned the Site Manager role based on her being responsible for SITE A. If SITE A is a Skype for Business site, and is removed from the Skype for Business infrastructure, Jane’s PowerSuite’s Site Manager role will be removed, as it will not be linked to any existing site.  Jane’s access to PowerSuite dashboards that rely on her having a Site Manager role will be blocked and she will be not be able to access those PowerSuite dashboards.
